陶恕 A. W. Tozer (1897-1963) 1897年出生於美國賓夕凡尼亞州，1963年逝世，享年六十六歲。他在芝加哥南方宣道會牧會超過三十年，是宣道會的重要領袖，地位僅次於宣信。雖然他的教育水平只有小學程度，但十七歲決志信主後，上帝賜他過人的智慧，他變得好學不倦、博覽群書，以至獲惠敦學院與侯頓學院授予榮譽博士學位。
陶恕篤信聖經權威，確認耶穌基督的福音的必須性與不可妥協性，因此他的文章和講道皆言詞直率，觀點清晰，又勇於指出教會和社會的負面現象，發人深省。陶恕被譽為「二十世紀的先知」、「牧師的牧師」，他的信息歷久不衰。
